Founder Williz Solender, started out in this game as a general magpie with a flare for discovery. A historical researcher, finder and dealer in unique art, he has fifteen years of experience in hunting down truly rare historic vintage clothing.

Born and raised in California with an extended family of treasure hunters, artists and educators, he knows every flea market, antique mall and obscure vintage boutique on the West Coast. In the early days he started expanding across the states, eventually reaching New York and DC regions.

By 2002 his love of the Cote de Provence, Impressionist Art and the humid summers of the Mediterranean, inspired a move to the South of France which became home for ten years. During this time he created Denarie Ltd. an import/export service for Antiques, Art and Collectables. He also began to specialize in vintage clothing, a passion that evolved into a stand alone company, Rare Fashions. Rare Fashions provided an opportunity for dealers, designers, and collectors to buy and sell rare clothing worldwide. This work took him to every inch of France, then to the UK, Germany, Japan, Thailand and beyond the beaten path in the search of rarity and beauty.

Internationally Sourcing The Rarest Vintage Menswear 

In February 2015, he set up The Insigne. Drawing on his extensive experience and global network he collects and showcases unique, stylish and historic vintage clothing.
